‘Train Naked’ with Pierre du Plessis, our last Business Club meeting for 2020

To train naked is to show up just as you are, without pretence, masks or bs. It is to live and work intentionally, to design and train for the life and career you desire. The ancient Greeks trained in the nude and competed naked in the Olympics, they literally had skin in the game. The word for gymnasium in Greek, gumnasia, literally means to train naked. These gyms were not only for physical training, they also had dedicated spaces for intellectual exercise, philosophy, teaching and conversation.
We train to compete and succeed. We practice over and over in order to nail a presentation. We must then also be training just as hard to become better human beings, to live meaningful lives, to do work that matters, and to thrive in chaos.
This keynote and book are calls to train naked, to have skin in the game and start training for the ultimate marathon, life.
It speaks of identity, purpose, ethics and along with a selection of life changing practices, they aim to inspire each one to take charge, get skin the game and train. www.thisispierreduplessis.com

Business Breakfast with Jean Muir, this August at Avontuur.

Join us for our next Business Breakfast with Jean Muir who will be covering all things financial…
She will spend time giving you pointers in financial planning and how it ties into your business financials.
Specifically:
– Budgeting
– Paying me (the entrepreneur, you)
– How to safeguard my assets
– What’s this thing called risk cover
– Why we build relationships with financial advisors

Please bring a pen and paper, make sure you know how much you are currently earning. (If it varies, take the average of the last 6 months.)
Why come to meet Jean? She says ;

When I started as a young financial advisor, I had dreams to cure poverty and to assist everyone with their financial future. However, I was hard struck when I realised poverty is only part of our problems. Our health is a bigger issue.

I quickly learned that life throws us with curveballs we don’t expect. Most of us don’t believe it will happen to us and then we try and put our life together piece by piece.

My life mission is to assist my clients, family and friends by asking them the questions most of us don’t want to comprehend or think about.

I assist you with holistic financial tips, starting with how does a budget work, how we pay off debt and how we know our biggest asset is secured should we get the bad news.

If you would like tips on how your reality can be changed, how you can think about your business and personal finance this morning is for you.

I am looking forward to hosting you.’
Please note there is only a limited number of seats, as it is a seated networking event which includes breakfast. So, book your seat and invite someone with, who you know would like to take hold of their financial planning.
