Last minute presentations, we give you the skills at Avontuur Business Club

Aletta Rochat is passionate about helping you speak like a professional. So many people are talented and hardworking. They miss out on opportunities because they lack confidence to speak up in meetings, or to present in front of others. As a result, their voice is not heard and often their superb ideas never see the light of day. In addition, we never seem to have enough time to prepare for our presentations. We know we could do better, but don’t know how.

Aletta is a Certified World Class Speaking Coach as well as a Distinguished Toastmaster. She has spoken and trained in 21 countries. She delivers keynotes, dynamic training and coaching. She is a master story-teller who captivates her audiences.

Last Minute Presentation Secrets is the template you need to speak confidently, even if you have NO time to prepare. You will leave this event empowered, knowing exactly how to speak and connect with your audience. This is what you need to move from anxiety to confidence!

Who are the Millennial’s and what can we learn from them? Avontuur Business Club theme for March.

TOPIC: The Magic of Millennial’s~

Who are the Millennial’s and what can we learn from them?

Millennial’s are a mixed bag with plenty of differing opinions on what defines them.

What cannot be disputed however, is that the workplace has changed because of them – millennial’s are climbing career ladders quicker bringing with them 21st century ideas and causing us to rethink authority and accountability.

What’s more important is that they don’t just want a job, they want to make an impact on the world too. They are the promoters of fair trade, sustainable production methods, beauty without cruelty, online trading, wanting to make a difference by supporting smaller businesses, people they know and trust. They are questioning business practices and holding the older generations accountable.

Join us to discover who this person really is and how we can relate to them in our businesses and as our clients.

Social media mistakes….what to avoid.

Social media is now the most popular online activity, but how should businesses do it right?

Successful social media marketing is not just about having fancy tactics. It also means not making those mistakes that cost you reach, engagement, fans, and customers. This presentation shows you how to avoid common social media mistakes, and what you could do instead.

Tanya Paulse is a freelance content solutions provider who helps small businesses to improve and customise their online presence.

Before starting Teaspoon Content Solutions, Tanya worked for 19 years as an analyst at a large South African bank. Then she woke up, poured the coffee, and had a long think. The ensuing spontaneous career change from corporate slave to freelancing boss led Tanya through the maze of publishing, both print and digital, which led to digital media, which led to social media.

Tanya swopped transactions for typos, sureties for syntax, and analysis for algorithms. Not that different, really. It’s all about analysis and interpretation. What do you say? Who do you say it to? Why should ‘they’ care? Tanya provides the ‘how’ and ‘when’ to these questions, and more.

What she knows for sure:

·        She knows what she’s good at, and won’t just tell you – she’ll show you.

·        She knows what she’s NOT good at, and keeps it real.

·        She is herself. A broad social media generalist, with a few niche skill sets. When coupled with the firepower of your business, Things.Get.Interesting.

·        She is not a ninja or a guru. That was only cool in 2007.

When she’s not experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, Tanya is spending quality time with her energetic toddler and ambitious teenager, or engrossed in zombie shows.
